MEMORIES DOWN THE LANE! AN ARTICLE FOR MY SCHOOL MAGAZINE ON THE OCCASION OF GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

Walking down the memory lane takes me to the corridors of our school. On getting down from the school bus, I walked through it to my classroom with my backpack and lunch bag. The trees in breeze greeted us.    The well lit, ventilated, clean classrooms with green color windows and doors are evergreen in my thoughts. As the first bell goes, we gathered for the assembly. The assembly was not just a prayer ritual! Each day was special. Monday to Thursday we assembled class wise and on Fridays house wise. We had national flag or school flag hoisting and salutation, Thought for the day, News for the week, quiz etc. After the assembly, walking back to classes through main stairs resembled diverging zipper as boys and girls climbed through the bifurcating stairs. Two or three of us shared a bench and desk depending upon the size. The teachers along with our academics taught us life lessons which have taken us to these heights.
